73 Plymouth Duster was the last model year that came with the 340 cubic inch V8 engine. Starting next  year it was replaced with a larger 360 cu inch LA-series engine, but by then the government environment regulations began kicking in and the engine was restricted and hence had lower performance then the 73 Plymouth Duster.
